SLOVAK KENYAN COOPERATION FOR MODERN SCHOOLS
The soteICT brings training company experience to students in rural Kenya, enriching their creativity, critical thinking and practical life skills for future careers through ICT Clubs.
We start with choosing underperforming but motivated high schools in the area, asking them to prepare the room and electricity for the future computer lab, and we come with ICT equipment and professionals from both Kenya and Slovakia ready to train the computer teachers.
"Sote" means everyone in Swahili, and it represents our philosophy: We believe that ICT is just a tool that can be used by everyone effectively. We nurture future role models who can "think in models". We aim to rethink current start-up culture. Through our program students learn how to promote their practice company, market their products, communicate and do business with different countries and work in teams. While using technology and a safe low risk environment of school we work to increase their chances to enter university, start their own business or get a formal employment in knowledge economy.
